SPORTS
Olney Prep proudly hosts a soccer team and a basketball team for both boys and girls. These teams are full of energetic, athletically
talented middle school students. Our atheltic teams participate in games and tournaments with other Adventist & non-Adventist schools.
Our expectations for each member of our atheltic teams is that they demonstrate
respect for the opponent and officials at all times, develop an understanding
and appreciation for the rules of the game, maintain self-control,
and recognize and appreciate skill in performance. We encourage each
team member to have fun while playing to their utmost potential.
We encourage OAPS athletic team members to practice good sportsmanship.
The Christian competitor should desire for his opponent what he desires
for himself: a fair, hard-fought contest. The desire to win, as important
as it is, cannot assume precedence over honesty and principled action
for the Christian competitor. Fair play and ethical behavior should
be evident in every athletic contest.
